Michael Aubrecht is a best-selling author, film producer, designer, and drummer with over 25-years of playing experience. He currently works as a session and performing player for the experimental band Question Everything (?E) and with members of The Drowning. He also provides electronic and acoustic drums, loop programming, replicated video drumming and film choreography/performance for composer-filmmaker Attila Domos, most notably on the “Monkeys With Technology” project for his upcoming CD “The Eleventh Ninja”.
Michael is a contributing feature-writer for Drumhead Magazine.
A finalist for the 2013 International Book Awards, he has also written nine books and produced four documentaries to date including “Sustainability Takes Center Stage” which examines environmentally-conscious manufacturing programs in the drum industry.
In 2013 Rich Redmond (Jason Aldean) and Michael signed with Modern Drummer to produce their first book FUNdamentalsTM of Drumming for Kids. This unique drum theory program is slated for release in the summer of 2014 as a book/DVD package (shot at Drum Channel studios).
As an educator, Michael routinely lectures at universities, theaters and museums and is available for Skype lessons.
